Our client, a very popular DTC retailer, seeks a SVP, eCommerce or Chief Digital Officer (depending on experience) to develop a game changing digital strategy for the company during a brand transformation and the rollout of new and exciting product lines. This includes strategic road mapping and executing content plans, overseeing the generation of digital campaigns, monitoring performance analytics, digital traffic, and product performance, among other deliverables. This position will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with the CEO, President, and executive leadership on all things digital as well as directing and leading all aspects of our eCommerce, and digital marketing functions.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop the strategy and lead the execution for the eCommerce business unit, including content management, promotional strategy, merchandising, data analytics and UI/UX design.
  • Oversee and prioritize growth initiatives, influence architecture and infrastructure requirements to ultimately fulfill eCommerce business strategy while remaining current with the latest eCommerce trends and technology to keep the platform at the forefront and ahead of competition.
  • Develop a global strategy to grow revenue, increase conversion, boost retention, and find opportunities for incremental sales and transactions while supporting the overall brand experience.
  • Responsible for all aspects of eCommerce including pricing, product offerings, promotions, customer management for customers shopping on the site and other third-party platforms such as Amazon and DoorDash.
  • Orchestrate a best-in class, seamless customer omnichannel experience website design using research, data and analytics including site navigation, content development and checkout funnel.
  • Identify, implement, and manage strong partnerships with third-party solutions for customer acquisition, conversion and website optimization including, but not limited to DoorDash, Uber Eats, Instacart, Amazon, etc.
  • Develop and execute a data-driven roadmap to drive improved customer experience and site productivity across all channels by defining strategic priorities and requirements, managing the budget, and quantifying, measuring, and tracking performance.
  • Identify opportunities to grow into new eCommerce programs and expand our footprint across additional channels and geographies, including development and optimization of vendor programs, partnership models, revenue opportunities.
  • Analyze key metrics to evaluate, optimize and benchmark performance, in partnership with cross-functional partners; generate and communicate valuable insights that lead to better informed and successful decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Product/UX, Customer Experience, Operations, Fulfillment and Planning teams on key initiatives that ensure end-to-end optimization and a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Oversees resources, staffing, budgets and the enhancement and development of a best-in-class team.

Experience:

  • At least 15+ years of experience leading best in class digital strategy and execution in a widely known customer facing consumer brand.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a professional digital organization and work at the side of a visionary CEO who knows and thinks digital.
  • Academic and professional background should offer strong preparation for a highly strategic digital leadership role in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrates strong business judgement and decision-making skills; ability to identify trends, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
