The Director of Growth Marketing & eCommerce will head up all growth and performance marketing as well as our eCommerce business (including owned site and all eTailers), leading digital efforts to grow sales and profitability across North America. As the Director of Growth Marketing & eCommerce, this role will be instrumental in defining and driving the DTC strategy. This pivotal role involves leading the direction, design, and execution of our digital, social, and eCommerce strategies.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee and drive the growth of our consumer base. This includes developing and implementing
    strategies to increase brand awareness, attract new customers, and retain existing ones.
  • Manage all online and social media efforts
  • Lead eCommerce P&L Management – budget and process of actualization.
  • Lead eCommerce and digital Strategies and Execution Plans for all consumer and business segments.
  • Be the architect of our success on Amazon (heavy emphasis here), DTC site, and omnichannel retailer
    media platforms.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Amazon channel strategy aligned with overall brand goals and objectives.
  • In partnership with your team, analyze Amazon ASIN level data to determine trends, articulate
    observations, and propose strategies.
  • Develop strategies to increase sales, reduce costs, and drive conversion rate, including creative
    optimization, PPC, packaging, coupons, customer communications, and more.
  • Lead and oversee Amazon advertising campaigns, maximizing return on ad spend, brand awareness, and
    digital share of shelf.
  • Lead agency partners and optimize product listings (including A+ Content and enhanced brand content) to improve search ranking, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.
  • Report to senior management on performance of business providing insights and opportunities for improved sales and profit performance.
  • Responsible for optimized landscape and relationship management of marketing and eCommerce partners providing key features and functionality as well as platform and development.
  • Collaborates with operations and new product development teams to develop experiences that maximize revenue of key products, categories and consumers.
  • Collaborate with brand marketing team to develop and implement the annual online marketing and promotions calendars.
  • Collaborate across marketing verticals on content, campaigns, and product launch initiatives.
  • Partner with Global eCommerce leads around the world to optimize global user experience, platform, features and functionality.
  • Directly supervises the Associate Director, eCommerce and the Social Media Manager.

 

Education/Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field. MBA or a master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years eCommerce experience, ideally in the retail, CPG or brand industry.
  • Strong strategy and planning skills, budget and P/L management, merchandising, and marketing.
  • Proven track record of growing sales and market share on Amazon, including 1P and 3P.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Experience owning the success of DTC for a brand.
  • Deep understanding of the DTC landscape, including customer acquisition strategies, and retention tactics.
  • Extensive expertise in paid advertising (PPC, social media ads), SEO/SEM, email marketing, and influencer marketing.
  • Experience working with retailer.com experiences and shopper marketing media platforms.
  • Passion for the CPG industry and a keen desire to understand our target consumer.
  • Experience across online platforms and buying media on Google, Meta, TikTok, etc..
  • Leadership and team management skills derived from having direct responsibility for building and managing a cohesive, high-performing team.
