The Role: We are seeking an Art Director with a strong focus on creative leadership, art direction, and concept development to join our team. This role is central to shaping our creative identity by driving exceptional cross-platform campaigns, developing compelling narratives, and ensuring seamless execution across all media formats. As the Art Director, you will be responsible for bringing our visual brand identity to life through design innovation, strategic thinking, and creative execution.
Responsibilities:
End-to-End Production Management:
-Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of culturally relevant and moth-mattering creative projects, including photography, video, 3D content to support brand, web, print, social, and experiential campaigns.
-Oversee production budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
-Coordinate with internal teams and external production partners to ensure brand consistency and quality.
-Negotiate contracts, rights, and usage agreements with vendors, locations, and talent.
-Provide creative talent solutions by tapping into existing personal relationships, talent databases, and key production hubs (NYC, LA, or Miami is preferred).
Art Direction & Visual Design:
-Lead the creation of stunning, visually consistent designs across digital and print platforms, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
-Provide hands-on art direction for photo and video shoots, including styling, set design, lighting, and overall creative vision.
-Develop mood boards, style guides, and creative briefs to align teams on visual storytelling.
-Ensure brand cohesiveness and elevate aesthetics across all touchpoints, including packaging, social media, and marketing campaigns.
-Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and external agencies to deliver world-class creative work.
Creative Conceptualization & Strategy:
-Collaborate with the Senior Director of Creative and Senior Manager of Brand Voice to define the vision, direction, and strategy for communication campaigns.
-Ideate narratives, visuals, and campaign concepts that align with brand goals and consumer insights.
-Conduct trend research and competitive analysis to ensure campaigns remain innovative and differentiated.
-Create decks and pitch concepts to internal stakeholders to present ideas for moving forward.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
-Partner with Brand, Integrated Marketing, Growth, Product, and other teams to align creative efforts with business objectives.
-Manage and maintain clear communication between stakeholders, regularly updating project progress and status.
On-Set Production Ownership:
-Lead on-location and studio shoots, ensuring all elements align with the brand vision and campaign objectives.
-Provide art direction for styling, set design, photography, and video.
-Manage real-time problem-solving to ensure seamless execution.
Process Optimization & Innovation:
-Develop and implement scalable workflows and tools to improve team efficiency and productivity.
-Identify and execute operational improvements, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with the highest quality.
Campaign Performance & Insights:
-Monitor product and campaign performance metrics, using data to refine and enhance future strategies.
-Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to elevate our creative output continuously.
Qualifications & Skills
-6+ years of experience in art direction, creative production, or marketing operations.
-Expertise in managing complex, multi-platform creative projects across photography, video, and campaign production.
-Proven ability to lead teams through design ideation, execution, and review processes.
-Proficiency with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) and knowledge of print and digital production workflows.
-Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, and visual storytelling principles.
-Advanced proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Monday, Asana) and creative platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma).
-Experience managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and overseeing large-scale productions.
-Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
-Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse teams.
-Self-motivated, with a passion for creative innovation and problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Familiarity with health and wellness or healthtech industries.
-Expertise in creating scalable systems and processes to drive creative efficiencies.
