Our client, a high-growth CPG / health & wellness brand is seeking a Chief Retail Officer to lead the charge in scaling their retail presence, ensuring they dominate shelves just like they’ve done online. This role is all about strategy, execution, and relationship-building—partnering with retailers, optimizing their omnichannel approach, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

● Retail Strategy & Expansion: Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to expand our presence in brick-and-mortar retail (grocery, specialty, mass, and beyond).
● Retail Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with key retail partners and distributors.
● Omnichannel Integration: Ensure a seamless brand experience across eCommerce, DTC, and retail channels.
● P&L Ownership: Manage retail channel financials, drive profitability, and ensure revenue growth targets are met.
● Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing retail sales and operations team.
● Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage analytics, market trends, and consumer insights to optimize retail performance.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and product teams to ensure retail success.

Skills & Qualifications:

● 10-12+ years of experience in retail sales, business development, or retail leadership, ideally in CPG (bonus if it’s in health & wellness).
● Track record of scaling brands into retail—you’ve secured and grown accounts with major retailers.
● Deep industry connections with key buyers and distributors.
● Omnichannel mindset—you understand how to bridge eCommerce and retail for a cohesive brand presence.
● Data-driven and results-oriented with strong P&L management skills.
● Strong leadership and negotiation skills—you know how to get deals done and lead a team to execute.
● Deep understanding of inventory management systems and platforms, including NetSuite.
● Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
● Ability to work in a fast- paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
