eCommerce Manager

Toronto, Chicago, or Boston (WFH w/ occasional in-person)

 

Reporting to the Director of eCommerce, you will be responsible for managing DTC sales by implementing user journey CRO enhancements and subscription management improvements to drive customer conversion and retention. You will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations teams.

 

Responsibilities
-Focus on opportunities to create engaging and effective digital journeys that improve conversion rates, sales, and digital experience.
-Work closely with the Director, eCommerce and marketing team to develop and execute strategies to improve digital sales & margin performance whilst maintaining brand experience.
-Responsible for driving trial, and delivering e-commerce revenue & gross profit targets.
-Own the dedicated US website platform (Shopify), ensuring that performance, UI, functionality & usability are best in class.
-Develop and execute strategies & tests to drive online sales growth, increase conversion rates, improve subscription conversion and retention, and improve customer engagement
-Analyze traffic and sales data to identify opportunities to improve digital performance through merchandising, messaging, UX and more.
-Manage on-site SEO optimization and work with the Dutch digital team collaboratively to optimize traffic management.
-Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns that drive traffic and sales.
-As our customer base grows ensure that the onsite experience supports existing customer journeys and newly personalized experiences.
-Provide weekly and monthly performance updates against KPIs, with actionable insights to take forward into implementation.
-Work with the Director, eCommerce to develop and maintain annual forecasts & budgets for the e-commerce business.
-Collaborate with Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure seamless customer experience from order placement to delivery to maintain customer experience.
-Work with external agencies and developers for specialized Shopify theme development tasks or projects.
-Conduct thorough QA testing of new features, functionalities, and updates on the Shopify theme.
-Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure all changes meet business requirements and deliver a seamless customer experience.

 

Qualifications
-Demonstrable experience of website management and optimisation for a D2C brand.
-Proven track record of developing e-commerce growth strategies that have increased sales and profitability of a Shopify based e-commerce channel.
-Minimum 4 years direct Shopify platform management experience.
-Strong technical skills with high level of proficiency in Shopify and a working familiarity with web development languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, Liquid).
-Hands on experience designing and executing experiments to increase conversion rates and optimize website performance.
-Strong analytical skills and data fluency to interpret traffic and sales data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
-Results-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team.
-Experience with digital marketing tactics such as SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media advertising.
-Ability to problem solve and seek out solutions. Resilience and track-record in creative problem solving.
-Experienced in defining & managing KPI’s.
-Experience working in a start-up environment. Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
-Experience with subscription-based models.
